Blossom Way Creek Letters of Map Revision

LOCATION:  Rogers, Arkansas

In order to facilitate the construction of the Perry Road Interchange, the Mercy Hospital, Pinnacle Promenade, and Crafton Tull was chosen to perform a hydraulic analysis over a one mile section of Blossom Way Creek. The study included analyzing the existing and proposed conditions of the creek and securing approval of a conditional letter of map revision from FEMA, coordinating with the Corp of Engineers, and approvals from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife. After receiving its LOMR in 2008, the project was highlighted on site tour by AFMA FAM 2009 and conformed as a successful floodplain management project that promoted economic development.
